Promoting Books with Elizabeth Marshall

Due to the success of my on-line marketing campaign for my latest book Dirty Little Secrets, I’ve been approached by some new authors who wanted to know how to publicize their books. I began asking around for the best in the business, and found Elizabeth Marshall.

What a treasure! Elizabeth has a very interesting company. She helps authors promote themselves and runs teleseminars she calls Author Teleseminars. Not only does she interview the authors and make the recordings available, she also gets other top thinkers to be on a panel to ask the author questions and stir the pot. So the listener gets to hear other big names, and ends up listening to a very creative interview.

Here is my personal take on Elizabeth: she is knowledgeable, caring, conscienscious, and smart. She not only has the capability to know just how to promote new content, but to bring the best out of folks she’s interviewing.

Next Tuesday, she is doing an interview with Daniel Pink. I met Dan several years ago when he was still with FASTCompany Magazine. He went out on his own to write the book, Free Agent Nation: The Future of Working for Yourself which has become (and remains) THE manifesto for consultants who are branching out on their own after corporate work. He then wrote A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future which is a fascinating book that teaches folks how to develop the skills and tools they need to be successful in our new world (by cultivating six senses: design, story, symphony, empathy, play, and meaning).

Daniel has a new book just coming out now called Drive: the surprising truth about what motivates us in which he explains how the best companies get the best out of their people. If it’s as good as his other books, I’d run out and buy it. He’s obviously one of the best Thinkers of our time.

Elizabeth will be interviewing him next Tuesday at 1:00 PM ET http://authorteleseminars.com/danpink.html and it’s part of a series she’s running in which she interviews authors and let’s listeners ask questions – and it’s free!

Sign up with Elizabeth. She finds good people, runs interesting seminars, and moderates smart, thoughtful, panels. And if you’re ready to publicize your new book, I’d ask her to help you do that.
